Spring has now been here for quite a few weeks, prompting quite a few walks in the woods which in turn has resulted in a big bunch of wildflower photos. It also resulted in a deeply embedded tick right in the middle of my back … but let`s never speak of that again.
So here are some of the photos – I have been meaning to do this post for weeks but I had so many photos that it`s been hard winnowing out the bunch. There`s still a lot – it is much more bouquet than posy – but they are pretty, if I do say so myself. And to stop it getting all too chocolate box`ish there`s some bugs and beetles too. Just a disclaimer – I avoided the temptation of auto-correct (as is my vow these days) but did fiddle with the brightness, contrast and cropping options on some of them. But other than that everything that follows is just as I `captured` it, all within a kilometre or so of the house.
As you scroll through imagine the background sounds of birds chirruping, cuckoos cuckoo`ing, the ever-present buzzing of bees and the occasional far-off buzz of a chainsaw and you will basically be there with me…
